We are continuing to provide an emergency dental service as part of the wider COVID response and ask patients that if you are experiencing problems and are a current registered patient of the practice to telephone us to arrange an appointment. If you have a dental emergency outside of the normal practice hours, please call 0300 1234 010.
We are starting to come to the end of a backlog of treatments for our patients whose treatment may have been paused during the initial lockdown period. We have recently installed ventilation throughout our practice to ensure that our dental procedures are carried out safely and effectively. We do maintain our stringent cleaning programme in-between all treatment appointments and so as such our capacity to see some treatments has been reduced. It may take us longer to complete more complex treatments going forward and our team thank you in advance for your patience.
We are not currently actively reminding our patients for routine check-up appointments however we do invite anyone who requires a check up to contact the practice so that an appointment can be booked in for you. Again, we would advise all patients that there may be an increased wait time before you can be seen for your routine appointments due to reduced capacity within the practice.
Whilst we would still encourage patients to call by telephone with enquiries before physically visiting us, we are now open to deal with patient enquiries face to face if you are unable to contact the practice another way. If you have a general enquiry, with increased pressure on our phone lines it may be more convenient for you to send us a message. You are welcome to message us on Facebook or send an e-mail to our reception team – email@example.com
We have recently introduced a patient portal in a bid to keep everything as contactless as possible. Before attending your appointment, you will be invited to fill out the forms required via a link in a text message or e-mail. It is important that these forms are completed before attending your appointment. If you are having trouble accessing or completing your forms, please let our reception team know.
All patients attending the practice will be given a COVID risk assessment, we will provide hand sanitizer on arrival and ask that patients wear a face covering if able. We ask that all visitors observe the social distancing rule of 2 meters throughout the practice and attend appointments alone where possible.
We really appreciate the patience and understanding that all our patients have shown us throughout the last year or so. Safety is and will always be our priority and we look forward to continuing to meet your dental health care needs in the future.
From all the team at Skipton Road Dental Practice.
